  • Ew, I have little bumps on my arms!
  • The $1 tinted moisturizer we can't live without
  • Fast fixes: 3 products that'll fix your blemish overnight
What can squash your New Year's Eve plans faster than the sight of your crush dancing with another chica? A zit. You know the kind: They pop up out of the blue, after you've had miraculously clear skin for weeks. And of course, you've got a party to go to where you have to look smashing. And a zit is so not part of the plan!

Step #1: Don't touch it!
The more you touch the zit, the more you risk transferring more zit-enhancing bacteria to your face. And that's a major no-no. Try to keep your hands away from your face. And if you must examine the thing, head to the bathroom and wash up first.

Step #2: Don't pop it!
It's way harder to cover up broken skin than an unpopped zit, so do your best to fight the urge to make it go away...because honestly, popping it isn't gonna help your big night sitch. But if you must, do it only with clean hands and when you can see white pus at the tip of it. Use a tissue and the pads of your fingers (not your nails) or two cotton swabs to gently apply pressure. Squeeze until all the pus is out and you see a dot of blood. Then clean the area with a swipe of rubbing alcohol and leave it alone to heal.

Step #3: Treat it!
A spot treatment containing 2.5-percent benzoyl peroxide is your best friend. Keep a tube in your cosmetic bag for emergencies, and follow the directions on the tube as soon as a zit raises its ugly head. Other than that, keep your hands away from your face, avoid pore-clogging products and wash your face with a gentle cleanser once or twice a day.

Step #4: Cover it!
Hiding a zit is a delicate process. If you're dealing with a lot of redness, a green-tinted concealer will help cover up the irritation. Dab it on using your clean fingertip or a makeup sponge. Let it sit for a moment, then cover with your normal skin-colored foundation or concealer. Spend time getting it in every nook and cranny, then set with powder so it stays put. Voila!

What can you use or make if you don't have make up?
Thanks!Smile

Hey imdoodlebug, you can always try making your own makeup. Google at home makeup ingredients. You can use food and fruit. Hope this helps! Xoxo

MOD MOD MOD. Ok so my skin is weird. I wash my face with neutragena for like over 4 tor 2 years and then my face gets used to it and I break out so now I'm trying this other brand but its not working either. I also use bottled stuff u put on after you wash and it has sailic acid but it still doesn't work! HELP!

Hey darkness605, yes girl unfortunately that happens. Our skin, body and hair get use to products we use and we have to change up. Try another face wash and see how it works on your face. I use Burt's Bees and it helps try that. Let me know if it works! Xoxo

MOD MOD!! So I got a pimple under my lip (on my chin?) like 1 1/2 weeks ago. It was small red and it kind of got bigger but never healed. Today I woke up and the pimple is filled with pus! Never had this happen to me so should I pop it or not? If I don't, will get go away by itself? How long will it take?

Hey Beibergirl99, it will most likely pop by itself. When it has puss it's ready to burst. After a few more days it should be gone. Xoxo

MOD
What can I do if a spot treatment dries out my skin? I have one that does, so I tried using a facial moisturizer, but that just made me skin break out more! I need help!

Hey girl, you need something that balances dry and oily skin. Avoid products with alcohol as this will dry it out and oil that will cause you to break out...try an oil-free moisturizer in the morning and a cleansing pad at night.
