Girl Scout Cookies Are Under Attack

Whether you sling Girl Scout cookies for your troop or simply like to indulge once a year, Dr. Andrew Siegel’s rant against the classic treats is gonna make you think. He launched a YouTube vid that explains why these morsels are so bad for us. Apparently, they contain “highly refined wheat flour, high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated vegetable oil,” or what Dr. Siegel calls the “vicious trio.” These are the same ingredients found in fast food, which we all know is crazy unhealthy. Who knew one little Thin Mint could be so bad?

The Girl Scouts sell a whopping 200 million boxes of cookies a year, which means America is downing tonsa Tagalongs and that the scouts are making major money off of them.

So...what do you think? Should the Girl Scouts sell something healthier or are the once-a-year treats NBD?
