Selena’s Watchin’ Out for Safety

The number of children abused in the United States is increasing every year. And guess what? Members of The AmberWatch Foundation have had enough! They’ve created an organization that raises awareness about the issue of child molestation, abuse and abduction, and have even extended it to a group of kids (The AmberWatch Foundation Youth Coalition) who were so concerned about the issues and wanted to do all they could to help keep their peers safe.

Even some of our fave teen celebs are joining in on the action! The AmberWatch Foundation Youth Coalition held a Fun Faire recently to raise awareness and welcomed Selena Gomez as the new chair, replacing music sensations Aly and AJ. Before handing over the title, the duo talked about their involvement in the organization for the last three years and the impact it’s had on their lives.

After speeches were made and introductions passed on, the celebs headed backstage for an afternoon of carnival games at the Backstage Creations VIP area, which included some awesome interactive games from UBISOFT. Pretty cool right?

Yay Selena! I loved her before, and now i love her even more! She is such a role model. And the rate of child molestion has gone up like soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. every 2 minutes another child is abused. it's horribil! i am soo glad she's doing something!

That's awesome that both Selena and Aly and AJ are doing this! This is an issue that doesn't get a lot of attention, but it's still extremely important. I applaud all the celebrities and normal people getting involved in charities like this! Way to go Selena!

i'm not a fan of selena, but i must say that i love celebs who are supporters of good causes. i think it's great htat they use their "power" over people to help organizations. like Leo DiCaprio is super eco-friendly, Ellen Degeneres is for Breast Cancer Awareness month, and tons of others. you earned some brownie points in my book, selena

I love Selena. She's so adorable and so sweet!
Shes a great girl, I I'm so glad shes gotten where she has! I'm so proud of her for doing these great things for people and using her voice for good!

I just heard today that shes also going to be the spokesgirl for trick-or-treat for UNICEF
and that's very awesome as well!
This year (like every year) I go out with my family and my little brother and two sisters and trick or treat with them...I'm so excited this year that when I walk around I wont just be following them I am actually going to trick or treat and will be doing it for UNICEF.
and come on who's going to give up the chance to wear a costume (which I bought today! yay!) and raise money for some of the less fortunate!
besides candy is lame and causes cavities!

Selena is a good person but did she really steal the Miley and Mandy show idea. Miley didn't need to apologize to her at all. It was selena who needed to apologize for her and Demi's behavior. What a slut selena is sometimes.

I like miley more then selena and why does she get treated for everything. Miley actually dated nick in the first place not miss show off selena gomez. I hate her when she can be a pain in my dairyair. Selena needs to get her act together and stop being such a mean person. Plus selena and Nick arn't going out.
