GIRL TALK: Should I Stop Liking Him?

There is this guy who I really like, and he would talk to me, and tell me jokes. When I told him that I liked him, he suddenly began to stop talking to me. I am very sad, because he is super nice to my best friend. She has a boyfriend so I hope he doesn't like her. What should I do, should I stop liking him?

Guys ALWAYS freak out when you bring up that subject. What is probably happening right now is this guy just doesn’t know how to act around you. He is afraid that if he acts like how he normally acts, you will think he likes you so instead of just acting normal, he is distancing himself which in fact makes things even more awkward. The best thing you can do is just try to be his friend. Tell him that nothing is worth losing his friendship over and that you miss having him around. If you act normal, he will have no choice but to act normal. In the mean time, focus on guys that are available. Choose someone that you know but aren’t super close with, that way you don’t have to be completely sad over losing a friendship if for some reason it doesn’t work out. As for your bff, I wouldn’t worry about her. If she has a good head on her shoulders and really cares about her boyfriend, she won’t give into any kindness that this guy is showing her.

Hey Girl,

If you don't like him that way tell him. If you don't want to tell him wait it out, crushes come and go pretty frequently, if he'd not getting a response from you he will move on. Good Luck!

the same thing happened to me! so sad! ya and mine didnt exactly have a happy we stayed friends for a little while but then one day he just decided he hates me and started swearing at me and now i never talk to him... well the other day he texted me but it was just another rude mean comment and i just ignored him... but i still dont get why he texts me like all the time if he totally hates me?! oh well it doesnt really matter. im sooo over him!

My homecoming is in a week and i need some advice. I want my friend to ask me to homecoming, but one of my other friends ttold him he should ask me and he said no because it would be too awkward. But, he already asked a girl that doesnt go to our school, and she said yes but her mom wouldnt let her go because its a different school. Then, he asked one of our friends who goes t our school, and she said no because it would be weird. I just dont get why he asked them when hes known me a lot longer. Soooo...7th grade guyz r pretty immature still. So i was walking home thru my neighborhood when this guy that goes to a different school comes along on his bike with a bunch of other guys. So as i walk across the street frm them, they all yell a bunch of stuff that mostly goes something like "HEY U. YEA HE LIKES U *insert immature guy pointing toward friend and me smiling and ignoring them like a dork* & "HEY HE WANTS TO GO OUT WITH U!" i can NEVER. NEVA EVA EVA think of a good response to these commentz. What should gurls do when they come upon a situation like this? Should we ignore them, or what? Cuz like this ALWAYZ happens 2 mi and then i go off ignoring them while guyz laugh at mi which seriously pisses mi off. (excuse the language, please) ~*THAAAAANNNNNKKKKK YOOOOOUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!

SOmething like that happened to me. I really really liked this boy, and we were dancing at the school dance. This one girl came up to us and told us how cute we looked together and now he won't talk to me. I changed schools recently and found out from a friend he had had about 5 girlfriends that year. I was SOOOO bummed! But glad I didn't have to see it my self.

At the beginning of the summer one of my friends threw a big end of school party. It was so much fun. but the problem was she liked one of the guys she invvited but he didn't like her. She would go into the corner and pretend to cry so he would come and talk to her. It was pretty pathetic. About halfway through the party, he came over and asked me if I knew what was wrong with her. After I got the okay to tell, I let him know that she really liked him. He looked so sad and when I asked him why he said that he didn't want to hurt her feelings, but he just wanted to be friends with her. I was just like, awwwwww. Then I gave him a big hug (don't worry, thats just a thing that we always do. I wasn't moving in on my friends territory or anything)and told him not to worry, she'll understand. The problem was, after hearing him be so sweet, I kind of liked him. For the rest of the summer he was super nice to me and we flirted all the time. Until like the second week of school, he kept on flirting, then he just stopped. I don't know if someone told him I liked him so he stopped trying to be friends with me, or if I did something to make him mad. I asked him if he was mad at me but he just said no, of course not and walked away. He's such a nice guy and even if I can't date him I still want to be friends. What should I do? Please help me!

And, when you're "Going out"... what excatly does that mean when you're just in Middle or High school and can't even drive yet? im the same way! i think the guy should ask the girl! and just because you cant drive doesnt mean u cant date. i can walk to alot of places bcuz of where i live but u could just meet somewhere or go for a walk around town or something. and you can still talk on the phone and text and everything else. and if u go to the same school u will see each other there. its just like you really like someone and wanna be more than friends. thats like the best i can explain it.

mod and girls!!***i am good friends with this guy i like and on an impulse decision i told him i like him and he said he 'likes to be liked and wants to be friends' that was this summer and now i sit by him in a lot of classes and we always talk and he acts like he likes me. ughh, its annoying because he really makes me think he does but i know he doesn't because he does that to lots of people and he hasnt asked me out. whateverr. example: we were in language arts and my teacher said 'whos the last person who really made you think' and he turns to me and says 'i thought about you' (he was kidding but it was really cute) and then another day it was a reading day and we can sit where ever we want and he was on the other side of the room and he started moving his head like to the side so i mouthed 'what r u doing?' to him and he pointed at me and then the seat next to him (like, sit next to me!). haha, course i went over there hahaha. awww! do you think i have a chance with him?
