yeah i hear where you are coming from! im like only a few months away of being 14, and only like 4' 11'' or so. and it kinda sucks too becaue um.. i have my period already, and you dont grow that much after you get your period, so i probrally will only mkae it to 5 feet. :/

Same thing happened to me! I'm 13 and was 4' 10" and then, over the summer I shot up to 5' 1"! Which, I know that's only 3 inches, but it's still nice because I'm at a good height. And I'm glad I'm shorter.... Because like Jana said, guys like it better... and do you really want to be taller than everyone else anyway? And shorter is better because you can wear misses AND junoir clothes!

u guys r sooo luckyyy! im likee 5' 10"!! it sucks cuz most of the guys in my grade r shortt so it feels really weird walkn nxt 2 them and stufff and plus its hard 2 give some1 who is short (*cough cough* my bgf *cough cough*) 2 give hugs. tht is y i always act like i hate hugs cuz its just akward cuz im so tall =P so b thankful!

Don't worry, you will definently grow more. I am 16 and I am still growing some. I would really like to stop though, because I am a little taller or the same height as most boys in my grade and it is kinda akward.

My bff mia is like 5' 3" and she has these guyfriends that are like a foot shorter than her.

Oh I'm 10 and 5'5" and I hate it playing soccer and stuff I get hit in the face. If you're walking with a tall person in a lightning storm the tall person would get hit and if you're walking under a flock of birds they will poo on the taller person

I know, being short sucks! I'm 12 and like 4' 11'', which isn't too bad except for that all my friends are at least 5'3''! Everyone always asks me how tall I am or says, "Wow, you're short!" And it's like, I know!

augh! isn't it sad how we always want what we can't have? dudette, i am 14 almost 15 and 5'7". you think i wouldn't want to be shorter? i'd love to be shorter! sure i have great legs, but i'm taller or as tall as most of the guys in my freshman grade! most of my friends are petite and they have to look UP at me. i tower by a good 4 inches over my frind hannah. just remember that it's not always better on the other side of the fence.

well this is kinda rude(how u said guys like short girls better) cuz im only 12 and 5'10". i would LOVE to be shorter. so be happy. and face it-theres really nothing to do about it.

Please don't worry to much!! I am thirteen in one month and i am only 4"8! just think about it..... all the guys will alwayse be taller than you and they like feeling taller.Dont think you have stoped growing because chances are you havent even got to your growth spert yet.

welll something simular goes on with me I have short hair like a boy but when people see me they say wow your gorgeaous you should be a model are you 20 years old and I'm only 12 in the 7th and they're are guys who try to date me way older than me trust me kinda hard to deal with

yea well im not extremely short but im extremely tall im 5'9 and im only twelve and don't have my period and haven't done my major growing yet but you are lucky because a girl in my gym class looked at my size on my pants and shirt and she told everybody i was extremely fat and im not im just tall be happy with who you are you've got other values so consider yourself lucky to be short ive always wandered what it was like to be short and remember everyone is different and thats just the way you are so love it!!!!!!!!!

I used to hate my heighth! Hate it! I'm 4'11 and a quarter...lol. and im and 8th grader. And alot of times i don't play a lot in sports is just because im short. LIke in volleyball I don't play alot because I'm too short. And my coach told me that too. She was like i want heighth. But now i've just accepted it and I kinda like being short.

im 12 and im 5'2". i never thought about it (being short) that way but now im glad i wont get much taller! i already have my period and my mom is only 5'3" so thats good! my friend anna always complains about being short but now i can tell her all the good things about it! but right now im like average height at my school cuz im only in 7th grade although a lot of my friends r taller than me... at least the guys will still get taller! (i like guys to be taller then me!)

wow...i'm 11 and i'm 5'4 and i'm still growing! sometimes i like being tall (most of the times i do) but for some reason,very few times i wish i was shorter...that's why i have a little bit of belly pudge,cuz i'm gonna get taller

Hey it's ok to be short, you still got a while untill your an adult, so don't worry. Hey there is a joke that I heard from somebody when I said that I was short. They said that the advantage of being short is that you're the last one to get wet when it rains! LOL!! What I'm trying to say is instead of looking at the negitives look at the postives. GOOD LUCK!!

I'm like the oppostite I'm way to all for my age...I'm 12 and 5'6. It kinda sucks. Plus I look older and its not just my height. Its sooo annoying when I'm talking to someone and I tell them my age and there like "wow your TWELVE? I thought you were 14 or 15!" Trust me your lucky your short...I wish I was short!

You guys think you're short? I'm 15 ½ and I'm only 5'1"! I got my temps and I have to put the seat as far up as it can go. But I have to say, I love being short. Like Jana said, you get cute clothes on sale (like Aeropostale usually has sales for short jeans- $10-15!). And you can wear heels if you want (or if you can walk in them...). And I talked to my guy friend about it and he said that guys don't look at how short a girl is, but if a girl is tall that MIGHT make a difference, but not really. And I have two friends from work who are verrry short. They're siblings, the guy is 16 ½ and the girl is 14. The guy is about my height, maybe an inch or two taller, and the girl is very short. She's probably 4 foot something. She said that a lot of people ask her how old she is, or if they guess they'll guess 7! So I guess neither side is perfect....

Being short is better than being tall when you're thirteen. Most cute guys are still pretty short, since they haven't gone into their growing spurts yet. Yeah, some might have, but not in my grade! I'm in seventh grade and I'm 5'4" (maybe 5'3"). I am at least 2 inches taller than my crush, and 4 inches taller than another cute guy at my school. The scary part is, almost all the girls in my grade are my hieght or taller. Sure, it's fun to be tall sometimes, but being short can be beneficial.

yeah being short has it's advantages. i'm only 4'11" and my boyfriend is SO protective! like this one time the girls in his class where pelting volleyballs at us and he was SUPER angry when one got me in the leg and he chased all 8 girls out of the gym. it was so sweet of him to do it but then again i can barely block in volleyball. i guess being short has it's pros and cons just like being tall.

Im 10 and im 5'2 and I love it! People always come up to me and say, "You're so tall!!!" Its really fun. I mean, my bf is shorter than me and its ok. In basketball, all the coaches want me to be on their team lol. ---basketballbabe P.S. Check out my profile!

im 12 and 5'4" does this mean no boys will ever like me? thanks for the advice GL it made my mad. not all boys like short people. in fact, if your under 5 feet and your 13, none of the boys in my school would even look at you if you were that short. people in my grade like long, lean, and leggy. me! short people get teased a lot. sooo lucky im not like that. and GL, by saying boys like short girls better, thats not at all true. not in all cases. like mine

i'm super short, too! i'm no more than five feet (i'm probably about 4'11") and i'm thirteen. but i'm ok with it. i'd really be really short than really tall! and all of the guys that i like are really short, thankfully!

i hear ya loud'n clear!i'm only 13 and i'm only 4'11 and i have my period. the doctor says i'm only supposed to get to 5'2. It stinks!!!but i always remember that i was made specialy and there's nothing i can do about it. look on the bright side you won't have to worry a bout guys bein taller than you!;)

Aww, girl, I sure know what you mean. I am 14 and only 4'10. People will always come up to me and ask me either a) how tall I am, or b) just kind of state the obvious and say that I'm short. Doesn't it just make you want to scream at them, "I'VE NOTICED!!!" I usually come back with something smart, like ''and you're a stater of the obvious'' or ''do you work in an observatory? Because you're extremely observant.'' If it helps, here's a trivia fact:: shorter people have longer lifespans than taller ones! *Looks up at very tall dude* ''*Gulp*...Sorry...'' xDD

Yeah I know how you feel. I'm 13 and 4'11 and a half! But I like bieng tiny. My friend always tells me that I'm super small and cute, and he's like super tall! I'm still growing so thats a plus! i'm happy with growing at least to 5'4 -5'5 (average hieght)! Just embrace your shortness! Its what makes you unique!

I consider myself average height, but I look taller than I am because I have really limbs. Some of my friends are short and they hate it. I like my height. Not too tall, nor too short.

Shes right. It would be a little akward if you were taller than your (future) boyfriend. I have a friend thats really tall for her age so its hard for her to find jeans because the longer there are, the wider the hips. She doesn't have fully developed hips yet so she would have to wear an big belt. Eventually you'll grow..
