Editor Obsession: The Office

It doesn’t premiere for another two weeks, but I’m restlessly anticipating Season Five of The Office. Maybe it’s because my roommates and I are too cheap for cable, but The Office is the only show I will actually sit down and religiously watch.

Why?

I don’t know exactly. I can never quite decide if it is Jim’s lovable tricks, Dwight’s obvious insanity or Michael’s absurd personality that keeps me laughing on Thursday nights. Either way, The Office is an addicting mix of dry humor, ridiculous plotlines and great actors. Plus, no other show on TV boasts such a diverse cast of characters: loyal, dependable Pam, angry and bitter Stanley, nasty, uptight Angela, grumpy Meredith and idiotic Andy. And yet it’s still somehow believable that they all manage to work in an office together—except what kind of office would tolerate all the shenanigans that these people pull?

This season, I am looking forward to a few things:

1. The return of Pam and Jim. They are by far the absolute CUTEST TV couple. But what will happen to their relationship when Pam leaves for art school in NY? Stay tuned…

2. Dwight K. Schrute. Will he reunite with his ex-GF, Angela, before she marries Andy? Those two sure did make the ultimate dysfunctional pair.

3. The addition of Holly as Toby’s replacement in Human Resources and Michael’s potential love interest! There’s nothing I love more than watching Michael Scott attempt to ask someone on a date (except watching him as Prison Mike in Season 3). Or shall I say, there is nothing more awkward than watching Michael Scott attempt to ask someone on a date.

OMG! I LOVE the Office! I've seen every single episode! My family started watching it two summers ago and we love it. It rocks! I recommend it to everyone. It's amazing! I LOVE Jim and Pam! It was so shocking in last year's season finale. So psyched about the new season!

I dont know what it is about this show, but all my science teachers Ive had (four) in my entire highschool career (three years now) just love it.

i abslutely LUV the office.i know alot of people dont think its funny cuz its really sarcastic but thats what i like about it!

I j'adore the Office!! My friend got me watching it and now i luv it! I've seen all this office stuff, too. Just today a kid in my class was wearing a shirt that said "Schrute Farm Beets" and of course i had to say i loved it lol

i love the office!!!!!!! its honestly the funniest tv show ive ever seen!!!! im super stoked....but i dont thing dwight will get angela, and i also think angela will call off the wedding.

It's funny cause my uncle's name is Michael Scott. I don't watch the office but my brother and mom do.

OMG!!!!!! Finally, GL included the Office! It's my fav show ever, and isn't normally included in GL. It's the bestest show ever,a nd if you haven't seen it, then go right now to Blockbuster and rent the seasons!!!!! I'm sooooo exited for 9/25

Oh this is so SUPER fabulous! Finally a post that's NOT about reality TV or Gossip Girl or The Hills! So I've been watching since the very first (pilot) episode. AMAZING! I wish Creed had more parts in the show, he is HILARIOUS. He's just so random-not to mention creepy. I love the Christmas episode one season when they did "Secret Santa" and it turned into "Yankee Swap". ("she loves me a home made oven minute much!" says an angry Michael Scott who doesn't appreciate Phyllis's thoughtful gift). God I love the office. Hey, anyone watch "Monk" on USA? I hope there is a future post about Monk, it is SUCH a clever show.

Oh and what about Family Guy? Man, that show is so funny, and it's pop culture refrences? Beyond great. My whole family likes to watch Family Guy together, I know it has like, cursing and stuff, but it's a really clever show.

I've never seen the office, but I've heard from my friends that it's super funny. At school, the day b4 christmas break, our class sets up a big game of jeopardy that every1 plays, and last time one of the categories was the office. lol

I love the office! I have seen every episode and they are the best. Someday when i have a job, i desperatly hope that someone like Dwight K. Schrute will work there!

I <3 the office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!like obsessed with it!!!! My whole family is!!!! We have evry single season on dvd of it!!!! PRISON MIKE!!!!lololololol!!!! I LUV THAT ONE!!!! My favorite is The Dundies... It was hillarious because my favorite resturaunt is Chili's and my whole family was making fun of me!!!! I also liked in that one the single 'Tiny Dundie'!!!
