STYLE 911: School Uniform

How can I make my school uniform less boring?

We know that school uniforms can be a drag, but here are a few tips to turn them from completely drab to totally fab. At least you know what you’re wearing every day…now it’s time to accessorize!

Depending on how strict your school is, leggings (patterned or plain), cute knee-highs or snazzy spandex to make you stand out from the crowd.

i wont b able 2 wear any of that stuff
and the worst part is they make us buy r uniforms @ a specific store!!! 1 store!
the uniform: white or gray shirt,plaid skirt, crew sox, a specific kind of new balance shoe, and when its cold a specific kind of sweater

OMG!!! i LOVE this!! i have a uniform, and it is soooooo ugly!!! wl its not too horrible, and anyway as long as u buy tight polos and short skirts and high heels, u kinda look like a rich girl from Gossip Girl!! oh, and we wear Abercrombie tanks underneath and let em show thru. lol!!

I'm going into high school this year and I have to wear a uniform. It's a Catholic school so its sooooooooooo strict! I can't have fun leggings, socks, shoelaces etc. But thanks for the accesories suggestion! I will def. have to get some cool stuff- considering I already got a Hollister bag(my style).
This is the opening year for my hs so hopefully we start new traditions. Anyone ever gone to a new hs? What have u done??? Or any other things to make uniforms better? Thx gl world! xox.

my school uniforms are maroon, grey, and white polos with plack or plaid skirts or black or khaki shorts. we usually make it our own by wearing camis or jackets and jewelry and stuff.

i have to wear a uniforn=m and its really strict so i can do the bags, mauybe some accessories(but i dont really like to wear accessoies cuz i always hurt myself with them(:. i xont know about the glasses but. i wis we could bring our own jqckets and shoes though!

ok so i have been spending lots of money on clothing not leaving much money for the future my parents care MUCH about. My little brother has more money than me in his savings account!SO i have a couple questions.
Are there jobs that allow kids to work and get at least minimum wage?
WHat is the average allowance that 13 year olds get a week? My parents are only allowing 5 dollars a week.

School Uniforms go directly against everything I believe in. I had a nightmare where I got to go to the best high school in the world, but they made you wear a uniform. In my nightmare I was crying and throwing a fit. I almost cried in real life. It was horrible. Gossip Girl is the only time I've seen uniforms not suck. And even then you couldnt see the uniform so it didn't count.

i NEED to srpuce up my room!! i got it redone (it looks AWESOME!!) but the walls r bare. i havee nooo idea what do do with that space. (ps, i cant post up posters or magazine clippings cuz the walls r freshly painted.) btw, all accessories must be white to balance the dark purple and light lime tones.

i suggest a paper route. its only 1/2 an hr out of ur day (even if it IS at 5:30 AM!!!) and u can make as much as $100 a month. it can be complicated, but i suggest u and anyone 11+ look into it!!!

my allowance is $12.50 a week. but i probably do more chores then most teens do =P.

I know wat you mean. Our school already had a strict uniform policy but this year they got worse! We can definately NOT wear the leggings and we can't wear dangling earrigns. The bad thing of a uniform is that because the attention is being taken away from the clothes it is taken to our hair and shoes. luv every1!

I could do some of them... not the socks, leggings, earings, or totes though. Or the glasses, since I don't need glasses. Or the headband, since those kinds of headbands give me a headache.

OMG!! thanx SOOO much GL!! I've been going to private school 4ever and uniforms SUCK so bad!! I kinda like the plaid leggings and the purple ones. I also like the shoelaces jewels and headband. THANX!!

oh yeah and I prob won't be able to wwear the leggings cuz like my new school is super strict. you can ONLY wear shoes that are black or white!! NO patterns witch sux cuz I got the CUTEST convers EVER that are black with white polkadots. SO stupid! I might be able to wear black or white leggings tho.

OMG I know what you mean. I'm not sure if my school has an earring rule but they have these strict rules! My old school was super lenient except if you had a belt you had to put it threw the loops.

hey bud i got news for you. even if u wear a uniform, you are still cruelly judged by your clothes. You have to wear the right brand of jacktet, sweatshirt, shoes (flats, heels, and tennis shoes 4 gym), and carry the right backpack, wear your hair the right way. annnnnd you have to be super-tight . there is awear an Abercrombie, AE or Hollister tank UNDER your polo, which should cool table and a "reject" table. the cool table has pretty girls who straighten their hair and wear just enough makeup, and the right EVERYTHING and r skinny. the reject table shops at JCPenny and Marshalls, with less-then-perf bods and not exactly model-esque faces. oh, and one girl is emo, the only 1 in the entire school. its not fair by any means, but everywhere u go u r judged. remember that babe. i sometimes think public school is easier.

Big glasses are in right now. I'm not terribly fond od the ones up there, though. My school would allow me to wear anything but the leggings. I think they allow different colored socks.

I have a uniform, and here are my school's uniform rules:
Socks must be white.
NO jewelry except for one watch
NO leggings or knee socks (unless if the knee socks are white or navy)
So I wouldn't really be able to do any of these.

I have to wear an uniform.. But it soo totally sucks to find shoes is such a hassle they have to be either solid black dress shoes nohigher then 1 1/2in. or solid white unless you bring a change of tennis shoes to gym the can be any color.. No braclets or necklaces unless they have a cross only one stud earings and just plain white navy black or red socks .....
