I think they take a lot of trust and there are a lot of factors to it. You should see each other at least once a month and you should call/ IM/ e-mail every day. It also depends on how far away you are and your age. BTW- 1st comment?

I think it depends on how close you want to be with your BF. If you want to be really close and like, hugging and kissing, they should probably live close to you. But if you guys just sort of want to be friends, I think a long-distance relationship would work out! XOXO,

1st comment???? Doubt it. I think long-distance relationships can work, as long as u 2 really really like each other. Otherwise, it can b easy 2, um, "get distacted". Meaning, ur guy is more likely 2 notice or even hang w/ other girls cuz u r not around, and the same goes 4 u. BUT if you are constantly commuting and really trust each other; it could b the start of something BEATIFUL!!!

Hey I need a little help... My school held a sports orientaion yesterday and my bgf was there. I didnt get a chance to talk to him because we were both busy catching up with everyone we havnt seen since school got out, and I figured I would text him later. My bf was also there, who my rents arnt too happy with. (but thats a whole other story) After it was over in the car going home my rents asked me why I didnt talk to my bgf and when I told them why they started murmoring and I heard the word "Lying" in it (im positive I heard it!). They always take my cell phone away at night because they say they are "removing temptation". I dont really care cuz there is nothing on there I care if they see. But this morning when I went and got my phone (they were asleep) I looked at the call history and they called my bgf. Normally I wouldnt care but I know they think im telling them Im talking to him when im talking to my bf! I HAVNT TALKED TO HIM ALL SUMMER! I tried telling them that yesterday but they refused to believe me! Should I be mad they went through my phone of should I just let it go?

MOD!! ok so i met this guy at our county fair and he was so nice and sweet he was pretty much perfect!!!!except that he lives like 3 1/2 hours away!!! and he came here bc his parents r divorcedand his dad lives here in our town and he came 2 visit for fair and was here for 2 days and i gave him my 1st kiss and everything (it was so perfect)but we r never going to see eachother except on like christmas thanksgiving easter and all that and next years fair so do u think that would work?? please answer

I don't know what the heck is up with my lately, but i hada dream and it was perfect! It had my dream guy in it and my favorite band, yeah it was good. So now ever sense the dream I've just been wanting the perfect guy, and it sucks when everyone around me likes a person that's real! and the person they like likes them back and they are just all super happy with the guys they have and here i am waiting....all of my 14 years of life...i don't nkow maybe my excpectations are too high, but i just havn't found a guy i really click with yet, and i want too!

ColortheWorld43 yea i have like the same prob.all my friend have a crush or sotmhing. but personally i dont really want one. ive had one b4 and my heart was crushed when i found out he liked my friend instead. so now i just dont even bother. i think u shouldnt rush. maybe u know just continue dreamin. dreaming makes everything good, i think atleast.

i totally believe in long distance relationships. i was actually in one for 7 1/2 months with my bgf, and it worked out great. even after we broke up, we still kept in really close touch and we had a lot of fun. he lived in New Jersey, and I was halfway across the country. we still worked out, so don't worry!

squidlysyd95: maybe you should talk to your parents as a responsible adult, and let them know that you don't mind it if they take your phone at night, but you would really appriciate it if they would trust you enough not to snoop through your calls and call your friends without your permission. they just care about you, but they also need to know that they can trust you, which is why you need to act mature when talking to them.

basketball_luver#44: reading your comment almost made me cry, since i can TOTALLY relate. about a year and a half ago, there was this guy named Ethan (i'll mention him a lot on this website.) at our town's bluegrass festival, who always smiled and blushed at me ( NO guy even gives the time of day!!) and to this day i am still obsessed over him. the problem is, he lives at least 500 miles away, and he only comes to my small town once a year for the bluegrass festival. anyway, next time you see him, ask for his phone number, e-mail address, IM, whatever, so you guys can keep in touch and have a long distance relationship. but also keep in mind that if you see another guy in your town, then feel free to talk to him (just not when you and th Fair guy are dating)

And i was like ok have you told taylor? and he was like no i'mma tell her now. and i was like k.then after practice they were talking and as she was leaving to go home he was like well i guess i have to tell you. and she was like tell me what? then he was like i have a girlfriend. and she turned around and left. and then he was like but i think your pretty! now she hates him.....so anyways lol back to my prob. well i always had a feeling that he liked me. and i saw him at the park and i was with some friends, and one of them knew him to so she was like what adam i don't get a hug? and he was like no but i'll give 'my name' a hug! and then he did and all my friends were like he so likes you! and i was like omg! but then once i left i heard that he made out with some girl he just met! and i was hurt cause i thought he liked me! so then i told my friend to call him and the only way to find out was to tell him that i like him. (which i didn't mind cause i do) and he said he did. so i like him but i have my doubts cause what if he cheats.. and i don't want him to hurt me like he did taylor. and also non of my friends like him! so it would be having to choose bff's or bf...and he's not going to the same high school as me so when would i see him? and i really like him and i want to go out with him but idk wat to do! can you please help me?

I really don't think that long-distance relationships can work out. While you are in different states (or whatever the case is), not seeing each other gives a reason to look at other people. And you're both gonna want to go out with someone else within a couple weeks or so. Maybe I'm biased, but I don't think these kind of relationships work. You need to see each other often, in my opinion, to stay together for a long period of time. Eventually, you're probably going to lose interest.

long distance relationships are extremely hard im in one right now. and to be honest there kinda boring. ive been dating a guy who goes to a different school than me for 8 months but we only live 20 miles away from eachother, and im best friends with all of his friends. and there is alot less drama!

I believe in long distance relationships. They only work though if you want them to work and there has to be a lot of trust. I have been with my boyfriend for 3 and a half years and he is 6 hours away from me in another state and it is working out wonderfully.

***MOD*** HELP ME. my parents aren't treating me right. They yell at me cuz i yell at my sister. But it's not my fault, its her's. I tell her things 15 million times and she still does it so i get mad and tell her nicely first, then when she doesnt listen, i yell. I know i shouldnt yell, but they get mad at me ! even if i didnt do anything. i've tried telling them that my sis doesnt listen, but they dont listen to me. Also, today, we were driving by Hershey Park and since we are going there tomorrow, I was telling my dad "i'm gunna go on that rollar coaster". he didnt answer me so i said it again. then he yelled at me for telling him twice, even though he is always yelling at me for not answering when i hear someone talking. he said later that he heard me. it just doesnt make sense. HELP ME HELP ME HELP ME
