My crush and I liked each other for a while, but then he started going out with a popular girl. Now he thinks that he's all cool and stuff! And he doesn't even act like himself anymore. He only acts like himself around me. And since it's summer, I don't even know if he's still going out with the girl! It's been about 4 months. I still like him...but only when he actslike himself. Unfortunately, status is important to a lot of people. Wanting to feel important and be the best you can be is one thing -- but some people worry too much about what other people think of them and do lose themselves trying to fit in. I know you might still have a crush on him, but if he acts one way around you and another way around everyone else, it might be a red flag that he's a little shallower or perhaps more insecure than you thought. You want a guy who is secure and confident enough to be himself around everyone; otherwise you might find that he ends up being flaky and undependable. You say it's been four months since you've last seen him, and a lot can happen in that amount of time, so wait until you see him again to make any decisions. If he's still acting like a different person depending on who he's around, it's probably a good idea to give in to the fact that he's just not the person you originally liked (you have to accept ALL facets of a person, not just who they are at particular times, you know?) and move on so you can find someone you like in every way. i like this kid. i know him through my cousin. i have liked him for a year....nd i have never even talked to him, how bizarre[sp?] is that?! but he doesnt even notice me....at least i think he doesnt. and i see him everywhere! i want to talk to him. but i dont no how, cuz again, it would be awkward since he doesnt no me. an di dont want him to hear about me thru my cousin.

If he decides to not act like himself just to keep up his image as a popular person, you know he must be totally shallow. and if he acts like himself around you, that's great, but if you do start going out with him, what's he going to act like in public?? i know it's hard to let go of someone you... dare i say it??... love, but this guy really does not sound worthwhile. you deserve so much better than him, if he's so worried about social status that he can't see what's right in front of him. keep on rocking to the rhythm of your heart, girl! lotsa luv, jonasfever13 <3

i like this guy named joe(not jonas)and i saw him at a family reunion this summer. he's totally available except for 1 thing, he and i are cousins. his grandma is my grandpa's sister i think or something like that. and of my friends thinks i like my ex boyfriend. i don't!!!!!!!!!!!! he's a jerk because 5minutes after he broke up with me he asked out one of my friends. then he got tired of her and asked out one of her friends. she thought he was a jerk so she broke up with him, then after all of that he asked out one of my best friends and THEY KISSED!! why would i like a player like him??? now she's asking me if i would be mad if she went out with him( the friend who thinks i still like my ex) and yes i would be mad and i told her that so now she thinks i still want to date him!!!!!!!! *********MODERATOR*********** today is my crushes' bday and i was talking to him on IM and he was telling me that he was going to make me an "extra special really nice card" for my bday that just passed but then i sent him his card via IM and he didnt say anything!! i was soo disappointed i wanted to cry bc i was already embarrassed about giving it to him. he was still on for like another hour and i know that he was at the computer because he updated his status on facebook....what do u think this means??
Idk what's going on babe. Chances are, he has tons of people telling him happy birthday and sending cards and he just hasn't gotten around to saying all his thank yous yet!

MOD!! n girls, ok im going to gymnastics camp next week. I am bringing my cell (i hav to i hav a really bad midical condition with asthma so the doc said i hav to bring it) im also bringing my camera. i was just wondering if u think i should bring a bag with a lock on it for my cell n camera? Why don't you pack a few cute summer dresses? The weather's still warm so you don't want to go with pants. Bring one fancier one if you're not sure how dressy everyone gets, and then a couple simpler ones. That way, you can have a mini-fashion show and have your roomates vote on which one is the best for the dance!

blondie323- omg!! i totally know how u feel n about wut happened (cept i had a crush on the guy and he did kiss me n hes like 2 years older lol) i suggest that u do wut i did, i liked the guy but he had a gf! plus his gf was my friends sister, so i told him to back off b/c i wasnt interested unless he was single. (he dumped his gf lol) u can always ask him if he likes u, or u could hav his sis ask. if u r possitive that he likes u, then u should either A)go out with him, or B) tell him to back off, or C) just hang out with him and see wut happens. if chose letter B with my guy (cuz hes older than me, n he is extremely hot n if on varsity football n stuff but i thought that he was wayto experienced for me, but now we r really good friends and who knows wut will happen in the futur lol) hope that i helped! srry if i didnt lol ♥

MOD!!!!! i need an answer to this question before school starts (sometime in september) my mom wants me to take some kind of martial arts, but i reeeeeeally want to take horseback riding. i need to know if there is a way to take horse back riding while my dad is allergic to fur. PLZ HELP!!!!!
Horses do shed, but if you take precautions to keep your horseback riding gear away from your dad and wash it regularly, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be allowed to take lessons. It's almost like not being able to pet your BFF's new puppy for fear of hair returning to your house with you. Talk with your dad, and be sure to keep anti-bacterial hand soap with you for after rides and I think you should be fine.

You know what? I have the exact same friend. She is nice, but when she is around Megan,a popular girl at my school, she is totally different. She treats me horribly, and she doesn't even talk to me. We were best friends ever sice 5th grade, but now going into 8th grade, I realized that friends who think they are cooler than they really are,and they think they have to be someone they aren't just to be noticed by someone, aren't worth going through all the trouble.

MOD thursday i went to the fair with my bff. yesterday my bf just got home from his 2 week vacation and asked me if i wanted to go to the fair with him. i really didnt want to go to the fair again, but not because of him...there just werent many rides there and it was soo expensive. i told him this and i said i really wanted to spend time with him, but not go to the fair. now i feel like such a jerk for not wanting to go with him so i sent him an email saying this because i didnt have time to explain it all last nite when i was IMing him because he was running short on time. but today i STILL feel bad about not going with him. is there any other way i can make it up to him or stop making myself feel guilty about not wanting to go again??? thanks soo much!
Why don't you plan another way for the two of you to hang out and catch up? Maybe pack a picnic and hang out at the park tomorrow?

MOD---I was talking to this guy a while ago on IM and he told me that he liked me. Then he asked if I liked him and I was like "yes". But since that got out I've had maybe one or two conversations that weren't awkward and I haven't talked to him for a few weeks so I'm a bit confused.Before we had that conversations we were like friends and stuff and would joke around with each other. but now I'm just confused. there would be a few times when he was online and he wouldn't talk to me and now I don't even know if I like him...what should I do?
He's probably in the same situation. Now that he knows you both like each other, things have changd. You're not just friends anymore and he doesn't know how to act/what to say. Is there a way you can hang out with him in person and see if the feelings are still there?

Hey MOD... My hair is really thick and curly/wavy. But it is only a bit longer than shoulder length. Are long layers only for long hair? I don't know what to do with my hair, thick and frizzy curl is not a good combo!
Layers work with all types of hair! Your best bet though, is talking to your hair stylist. She'll be able to tell you exactly which looks are best for your hair and face shape.
