MOD- i have a friends birthday party today, but i am kind of shy and some of these girls i havent seen since the last day of school. wut should i say to start a conversation? also wut should i wear and wut kind of hairstyle should i have? plus wut kinds of accessories, nail polish colors,etc...should i hav? i totally want to dress to impress!plus do u have any tips on how to be the life of the party? THX
Just ask them how their summers are going, whether anyone's had a really great vacation/camp/summer job. Chances are, everyone's got some fun stories! As for your outfit, don't try too hard - just be yourself! Wear what you'd normally wear on a summer weekend - shorts and a cute top and hair in whichever way is most flattering. Keep it simple and keep it you. If you show up with a brand-new, over the top look, people will notice. And not neccessarily in a good way. Why don't you invite a friend who is also invited to the party over earlier and you can get ready together!?

Think about what she likes or dislikes. Books are great, but so are themed gifts like a cute purse with a few nail polishes or lip glosses or a summer theme with a mini-cooler stuffed with some simple flip-flops and package of freeze-pops!

i went to the MIDNIGHT RELEASE PARTY OF TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!DId anybody else go 2? now i have to get reading but at the store i saw the AWESOME TWILIGHT calender that im gonna get. ALSO KRISTEN STEWART IS GONNA BE ON DISNEY CHANNEL TODAY AT 11 O CLOCK IN THE MOVIE CATCH THAT KID!!!! i hav to watch that!!!! LASTLY-I LUV EDWARD CULLEN/ROBERT PATTINSON!!!!!!TEAM EDWARD!!!!! that is wut i was screaming yesterday at the bookstore it was so much fun!!!!!!!

dear mod, i really want 2 b friends with these 4 girls!!!they r super nice and pretty and wear the coolest clothes. i want to be in their group sooo bad. they r all in my class, and i was thinking of having all the girls in my class over for a sleepover bdday party in sept., cuz thats when my bday is. the thing is that i have no idea wat 2 talk about, im kinda shy, and ik they will all be hanging 2gether and prob. dont want 2 b interrupted. any advice???

Carrie_Underwood's_Diary, neopets is not fo little kids it may seem a little babyish to me too but it doesn't mean you hav2 complain about it. oh and this isn't a teen site it is for mainly ten and up. but anyway that may be an insult to other ages who are people from glife.com so you might as well relax because this is a site for girls, and this is a site for girls to hav fun! and neopets mite be some thing that some of the girls like. and i'm not trying to be mean, but if you tell me how old you are to me i would know how you feel i'm not even Miley1573, i'm her 18 year old cousin.

lol - how funny, GL says that neopets are cool. I agree but I also disagree, I mean the idea is cool, but at the same time its not. when i was younger, they were cool, but now, they seem a little kidish. but w.e makes ya happy.

i know some ppl say that this magazine is for 10 and up, but really, i think its more for 12 and up, because if it were for 10 and up they wouldn't talk about boys, or texting with a cell, or any of the teen related stuff, i have never seen a single article for anyone who is not at least 12. correct me if I'm wrong, but 10 year olds should not be reading GL, its meant for 12+ if you ask me.

Instead of hauling one of those JIGANTIC, over-stuffed bookbags to school this year, try a really cute bag. But make sure it is big enough!! I found really cheap ( but cute ) bags at Pamida, Shopko, Target, And JC pennies!!! Hope this helped finding the perfect back-bag this year!!! Luv u guyz!, Glamourfame

MOD AND GIRLS!!!!! i have a MAJOR problem!! my mom and dad are going to be out of town and im wuz supposed to go to my aunties house this sat. then my frnd called and asked me to go to her b-day party. but her b-day party is on sat. too!!! i decided to go to her b-day party then she called me and told me that it was a SLEEPOVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am not very good at sleepover parties because i get very uncomfortable and i cant go to sleep. my mom said it as too late to change anything!!!! help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont want to ruin her b-day party just because i am not comfortable there!!! plz plz plz plz give me tips on how i can forget about being scared at b-day parties!!!

glamourfame-- i would wanna go2 the sleepover, so here's what i would do: i would just completely dive into the activities there and have tonsa fun. if u find urself ^ late, bring a book (or two, it doesnt hurt 2 b prepared!!!) and go into a seperate room w. the light on reading until u fall asleep.
