My friend wants me to lie...to my parents
The answer to this one is simple, babe: Don’t go! If your gut is telling you this party is a dud for whatever reason, call up your other chicas and make different plans. Why?
It’s not worth making your parents angry
Chances are your parents are going to find out you went to the party somehow, right? And when they find out, chances are they’re gonna be seriously upset. After all, if you go, you’re doing something they specifically asked you not to do, and that’s a no-no. Getting grounded—or worse—for attending a party you’re not dying to go to anyway is just plain silly.
You could get in serious trouble
If these kids your friend is hanging with are into drugs or drinking or simply gettin’ rowdy on the weekends, your chance of landing in the doghouse skyrockets. Even if you’re minding your own business, being at a party where illegal activity is occurring could get ya in trouble with the police, and they could get called for any number of things. Watch out for yourself, first and foremost, and opt for a safer way to celebrate the holiday.
You could have way more fun
