How to sign yearbooks with style

It’s no secret: When it comes to end-of-school fun, nothing beats ditching class for some serious yearbook signing! But when your hand starts to cramp from scrawling LYLAS in all of your sweeties’ books, what’s a girl to do? Look no further! We’ve got stellar tips to take your yearbook messages from blah to totally brilliant.

Get personal

Writing the same thing in all of your girls’ books is easy, sure, but it might make ‘em wonder just how much you care. Show off your super thoughtful self with a message that’s short, sure, but totally calls attention to your friendship. Even a quick “Couldn’t have it made it through U.S. history without ya!” will make your bud smile, and will help ya recall the school year decades from now.

Insert inside joke here

Everybody loves a good inside joke, and the great thing about sharing ‘em in yearbooks is that it’s totally between the two of you…unlike when y’all crack up during lunch. Keep the chuckles coming, cutie.

Keep it PG

I don’t know about your Mom, but mine loves to flip through my yearbook. Do your bud a favor and ditch the curse words or rude phrases…nobody really needs to see that, do they?

Get artsy

Nobody said you’ve gotta stick to the ABCs, right? Challenge your bud to a game of hangman, dots or tic-tac-toe in the margins of your yearbook, or do a quick doodle of a funny thing that happened during the year.

Make plans

Why say “see ya next year” when you could hang over the summer. Even if you and your best school friend don’t live in the same neighborhood, that doesn’t mean you can’t plan a sleepover or a shopping trip sometime this summer. Try getting your whole gang together for a park picnic, pool party or amusement park outing.

Spill, babes! What are your best yearbook-signing secrets?
