DIY ideas for Mother's Day

Don’t let the promise of sunny skies distract you:  Mother’s Day is not too far away.  Not sure what to get momma this year?  Or maybe you’re running a little low on dough.  Either way, don’t worry.  We’ve got you covered with these sure-to-please DIY gifts for mom.

Crafty Collage

They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, so a bunch of pics must be extra special, right?  Pull out those dusty ol’ photo albums and pick out the best pics of you, mom and the fam (old ones, recent ones and all that’s in between) for a one-of-a-kind prezzie.  Snip and arrange ‘em carefully, add some sweet stickers or quotes and don’t forget to frame it!  We know she’ll wanna hang up her picture-perfect gift right away.

Coupon Booklet

You’re convinced your mom is Superwoman.  Seriously, how could one person possibly do all that stuff in a day?  You’ve got one thing right, Mom’s pretty amazing.  But even with her superpowers, she gets tired too.  This Mother’s Day, gift a handmade coupon book with ways you can help her around the house like doing the dishes, setting the table and even “fill in the blank” if you dare.  Next time she’s exhausted, she can just whip out a coupon.  Voila!

Happy Mix CD

Create a personalized mix with mom’s fave songs and throw in a few others that are guaranteed to make her smile.  Stash it in her car with a bow on it for when she goes to work.  Surprise!  So long, boring morning drive.  It’ll brighten her day and make her heart sing for sure.  Hakuna matata, babe.

Breakfast in Bed

Pancakes and bacon and eggs, oh my!  Who wouldn’t love to wake up to a hot tray of early morning goodness?  Not mom, that’s for sure.  With her days spent running you and your sibs around, a good breakfast is just what she needs to kick off her day the right way.  And, she doesn’t even have to roll out of bed.

Tell us, babes: What are you doing for YOUR mom this year?
