#MotivationMonday: This 9-year-old rocks at races

Milla Bizzotto, a nine-year-old from Miami, is one awesome girl.

Acccording to CBS Miami, earlier this month Milla was the youngest competitor to compete in (and finish!) the 24-hour BattleFrog challenge—a race designed by U.S. Navy Seals. She ran 36 miles, swam eight kilometers and completed obstacles like crawling under barbed wire, rope climbing and scaling a 12-foot fall. The craziest part? She had to do all of that six times!

Not only did Milla complete this insanely hard race (meant for super fit adults), but now she’s using her platform to inspire other kids her age to love their bodies and be as fit as possible. Where did her own inspiration come from? Milla says that she got into fitness after being bullied in school.

“People would call me names and say I wasn’t a good player,” she told the Miami Herald. “I didn’t want anyone else to go through what I did. I want to set an example and show other kids that they can do or be anything they want."

Milla began training with her dad and coach, who owns his own gym, and started training for nine months—five days a week, three hours a day—to practice for the race.

And she didn't just kick butt in the competition. She's also all-around awesome for showing other kids how cool (and rewarding!) it can be to get outside and play, or even hit the gym with your friends and fam.

Have you ever competed in an obstacle course? What's your motivation this Monday?
