What we can learn from Brie and Emma's friendship

There are few young movie stars out there that could match the successes of Brie Larson and Emma Stone: They are the two most recent recipients of the Academy Award for Best Actress, after all. Brie won her Oscar in 2016 for her heartbreaking performance in Room, while Emma picked up her statuette earlier this year for La La Land. Aside from their amazing achievements, however, one of this duo's most impressive qualities is their devotion to one another. Here are some of the reasons why they are the definition of friend #goals.

They're proud of each other's accomplishments.
Sometimes, when your friend kicks that ball into the goal or aces an exam, it feels like a win for you, too! Brie and Emma know that feeling well. While their version of the soccer field might involve couture gowns, a thousand cameras flashing in their faces and dancing with Ryan Gosling, they still share that same excitement when they watch the other succeed. Brie summed it up in her adorable Instagram post of the two of them hugging after the 2017 Oscars: "You know what's better than winning? Watching your friends win."

They keep in touch when they're far apart from each other.
The internet basically exploded with the news that Brie and Emma have assembled a fabulous group text with Jennifer Lawrence (another Best Actress winner, no less!). These ladies know that the spotlight can be a lonely place, which makes them try even harder to keep in touch. "We support each other through it all," Brie says.

They laugh together, even on the red carpet.
While some celebrities take Tyra Banks's "smizing" approach in front of the paparazzi, these two don't keep straight faces for long when they're together. We can't blame them...we know how hilarious Emma was in Easy A, and during her killer lip sync battle with Jimmy Fallon. Here's to girls being their true selves, no matter where they are.

They give each other the *best* gifts.
Before the 2016 Oscars, Emma gave Brie a book called I Can Fly, a sweet card and an elephant good luck charm. It's no wonder Brie says that friends like Emma "saved her life." (Want to get your friend a present? GL has some suggestions for you here!)

Their style is amazing.
Check out their gorgeous looks at the 2017 Golden Globes: Emma wore a glittering, star-covered Valentino gown, while Brie was a showstopper in blazing red Rodarte, with stunning makeup and loose, wavy hair.

They're bold, unapologetic feminists.
Emma is an equal pay advocate, and perfectly articulates her beliefs: "I am so grateful to be a woman. I am so glad I am a woman! I think this is a wonderful time for women. I think the tide is turning and there are so many brave, authentic, strong and funny and vulnerable and exciting women in every industry right now." Brie agrees, and she'll soon be breaking barriers and taking names on movie screens everywhere as Captain Marvel, the first female superhero to get her own Marvel movie!
