Signs your dog is basically part of your family

For the dog lovers out there–and let's be honest who doesn't love dogs– your pet Corgi or Labradoodle might as well be your barking brother or sister. Considering that they always greet you with a smile when you get home from school, are the best cuddle buddies and *never* rat you out to your parents, your pup can sometimes be a better brother or sister than your actual siblings! If you can relate, here are the tell tale signs that your dog is more than just a pet, but a member of the fam.

You can't stand to leave them at home.
When you start taking your dog with you to run errands, that's how you know you're attached. Despite the mall's strict "no pets allowed" policy, it starts to feel wrong to leave them bored in the house while you go out on the town.

Your pooch is more fashionable than you are.
Who can resist a puppy in a sweater? Correct answer: No one! When you start spending on coats, sweaters and even booties for your dog, you know this is about more than just companionship.

You have legit conversations with your pup.
As a dog, one of their best and worst qualities is that they can't talk back to you. But that doesn't stop you from having full on conversations with them, so go ahead and vent, ask them for style advice or how their day went. Your pup is guaranteed to at least be consistent in their response.

Your parents love your dog more than you (almost).
Some days your mom spends more time talking to your dog than you, your dad seems more concerned with the well being of your pup than yours and your dog eats even fancier dinners than your own...
