One of my pretty close friends asked out the one boy I like. I am positive she knew it would hurt me. She is one of those people who goes from boy to boy, yet she says she really likes him. I don’t know if I can believe her.

Some say that all’s fair in love and war, but you are right: It wasn’t nice of her to ask out the boy you like, and there’s a reason you call her “a pretty close friend” and not a bestie. If she really is more into getting a guy than having a relationship, then even if she and this boy do go out, he will be available again in no time. I don’t think you need to confront her... but going forward, try to confide only in thoughtful girls, not in fickle me-first girls.
