LIFE

Dear Carol

"Dear Carol, how can I get more sleep?"

Dear Carol,
Do you have any advice to help me sleep better at night?
–Sleepy

Dear Sleepy,
Getting a good night's sleep can help everything from your mood to your grades. Here are some tips: Try to go to bed around the same time every night. Don't drink caffeinated tea, soda or coffee in the afternoon or evening. Exercise during the day but not in the evening. Log off early. If something is bothering you at bedtime, write it down and tell yourself that you won't think about it until the next day. Pick up a fun book before bed–something relaxing, not scary, and think of it as reading a bedtime story to yourself. Zzz.
