Things high school seniors are tired of hearing

Being a high school senior is both an emotional and exciting time, and deciding what your future plans are going to be can bring about a lot of stress. And having adults (and sometimes peers) comment on all aspects of your life and ask about your future can only make it worse—trust us, we’ve been there.

Most of the time people mean well...but here are ten things we're *so* tired of hearing.

1. “Good luck being in debt from all the tuition.”

2. “Are you going to stay friends with your high school BFFs? It’ll be really hard.”

3. “How many schools did you get into? Aww, sorry about the one that rejected you.”

4. “Are you really going to try to keep your high school boyfriend/girlfriend?”

5. “You’re going to prom, right? You’ll regret it for the rest of your life if you miss it!”

6. “Aren’t you going to miss high school? It’s the best four years of your life, you know.”

7. “So where are you going to college? You are going to college, aren’t you?”

8. “What’s your major going to be? You need to know before you get there.”

9. “*laughs* Yeah okay, what are you going to do with that major??”

10. “Aren’t you nervous or scared? It’s tough out there in the real world.”

How do you handle these types of comments? What do you wish could be said instead? Tell us in the comments below!
