I was at lunch chatting with my BFF when my crush sat down next to me and we started talking about sports. I didn't know the difference between a home run and a touchdown, but I pretended I was a huge football fan to impress my crush (who was on the football team). He asked me who my favorite team was and I said the Yankees. My BFF laughed and I didn't know why. My crush said he had to go to the bathroom so he left and didn't come back. Then, my BFF told me that the Yankees are a baseball team! I was so embarrassed and we haven't talked since.
