Get more from your jogging workout

Want to get more from your jogging workout? Trainer Nicole Clancy dishes head-to-toe technique boosters and burn even more calories and tone up in zero time.

Straighten up. Instead of slumping forward as you jog, pinch your shoulder blades together and pull your shoulders back and down. You’ll tone core and back muscles, as well as run faster.

Hold your palms facing up. Rotate your palms to face up; you’ll workout extra upper arm muscles to help propel you forward.

Pump your arms. Powerfully pumping your arms forward and back as you go will target tone your shoulders and upper back muscles.

Lift ‘em up. Pick up your knees as you run. Emphasize lifting your legs from your hips will tighten up your abs.

Give it a kick. Follow through with your stride. Squeezing your tush as your push off the ground with your legs will shape your backside and legs.

Turn it over. Focus on moving your feet quickly as you run. Think as if you were jogging over hot coals and wanted to keep your feet moving as fast as possible. You’ll bump up intensity burning more all-over calories.
