Never choose between cake and pie again with this recipe

You're in charge of picking this year's Thanksgiving dessert and it all comes down to one big decision—cake or pie? Well, thanks to this to-die-for recipe, you can have *both*. Meet the "piecaken", the dessert version of the turducken. It's exactly what it sounds like: a pie within a cake. And trust us, it's everything you've ever dreamed of (and super easy to make!).

Ingredients:

2 boxed cake mixes
2 pre-baked and cooled pies
3 cans of icing

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix one of the cake mixes according to the box. Spray a springform pan and pour half of the cake mix into the pan.

2. Turn the pre-cooked pie upside down and remove from aluminum bottom. Press gently into the batter.

3. Pour the remaining batter over the pie and smooth.

4. Bake cake according to directions, usually about 25-30 minutes.

5. Remove and let cool.

6. Repeat steps 1-5 with your other pie and cake mix.

7. To assemble, place the cooled layers on top of one another and ice. Voila!
