Healthy homemade cranberry sauce in under 30 mins

Wanna wow your fam this Turkey Day by whipping up a delish side dish? Grab a pile of cranberries, cuties, set aside 30 minutes and get ready to impress big-time. Don’t worry—we won’t tell anyone how easy this recipe is. Just sit back and let the compliments roll in!

Ingredients:

Makes 12 servings

24 oz fresh cranberries

2 cups orange juice (freshly squeezed is best!)

1 cup to 1 ½ cups honey (depending on how sweet you want it)

2 to 3 teaspoons cinnamon

2 to 3 teaspoons nutmeg

Zest of 1 orange

Optional: 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Directions:

First, you need to prepare your ingredients. Rinse your cranberries and pick off any stray stems and discard berries that aren’t looking too hot. Then, zest your orange and set the zest aside in a small bowl ‘til ya need it.

Ready? Let’s get this Thanksgiving side started! In a saucepan, heat orange juice and honey, stirring constantly until honey is dissolved. Add in the cranberries, bring to a boil, then turn the heat down so the mixture is simmering.  Add the cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest and simmer until the berries are tender. Stir occasionally.

Want a thicker sauce? In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water, then whisk that concoction into the sauce until it thickens. Serve warm or refrigerate until it’s supper time.

OK, babes, time for the ultimate T-giving Q: Are you a jellied cranberry sauce girl, a whole berry cranberry sauce girl or a no cranberry sauce girl?
