Cozy up with this DIY blanket scarf

Snuggling up with a cozy blanket scarf is essential when the temps drop, so gifting one to your bestie for the holidays is a guaranteed win. Instead of buying a scarf at the mall, DIY your own. The best part? There's absolutely *zero* sewing requiredperfect for even the most beginner crafter!

You'll need:

1.5 yards of 44 inch wide flannel, in the pattern of your choice
Scissors
Seam ripper

Directions:

1. Trim the loose edges on your scarf. You want to cut off a thin strip on three out of the four sides so that you can fringe it properly. Pro tip: To cut a straight edge, follow the line of the plaid.

2. Now, time to cut the fabric into a square. Make a right triangle with the edges as even as possible on two sides. On the last side, there will be some extra fabric. Trim it until all sides are even, making a squre.

3. To make the fringe, start at one end and remove one thread with your seam ripper down the whole edge. Repeat with another thread until your fringe is as long as you want it. Then, do the same thing on the other two cut sides.
