MAKE IT CUTE

Make this mega-glam mask in minutes

Masquerade masks are the perfect costume solution for all the lazy girls out there. All you have to do is throw one on with a cute dress and your costume is complete. It doesn't get easier than that and plus, it draws attention to your eyes in the most gorgeous way. Here's how to make your own mask so you can channel your inner Katherine Pierce this Halloween.

Masquerade Mask Tutorial from Instructables

You'll need:

- Tulle
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Black fabric paint
- Plastic wrap
- Tape
- Mask template

Directions:

1. Take your printed template and tape a piece of plastic wrap over top. Cut the tulle to the size of the paper (about 8" by 11" is good) and tape over top of the plastic wrap.

2. Trace the template with black fabric paint on the tulle. Let it dry overnight and then gently peel off of plastic wrap.

3. Cut out the mask, including the eyeholes. You might want to use an X-ACTO knife for that (ask your parents to help).

4. Cut two pieces of ribbon, each about 20 inches long. Glue to the ends of the mask and let dry. Trim if needed—they just need to be long enough to tie the mask around your head.
