How to make your Valentine's Day date *way* amazing

Dating can be absolutely terrifying—especially when you’re just starting out. You don’t know what to say or how to act, and sometimes the nerves just take over. And if you’re going on a Valentine's Day date, then your stomach is likely churning with nerves. So here, we’ve compiled a few tips and tricks to ensure that you *absolutely* ace your V-Day date.

The first thing you need to remember is to stay positive and upbeat. Don't let your anxiety and worries cloud your decisions. We as humans tend to worry about things needlessly, and by doing that we forget to act like ourselves. It's also important to keep this in mind: there's no pressure to make things work. The worst that can happen is that you two don’t hit it off and decide to go your separate ways.

But maybe you’re a naturally nervous person, right? Here are some suggestions for topics you can talk about on a date:

+Are you more of a movie person or a TV person?
+Do you like to read?
+What do you do in your spare time?
+What’s the coolest place you’ve traveled to?
+Biggest pet peeve?

All of these are little questions, but they definitely open doors for larger conversations to be had. The key when thinking up a question is to aim for something conversational that will create many more questions. You can ask yes or no questions, but always make sure that the question acts as an open door instead of a closed one.

Also amazing? Having fun with your outfit! Don a super cute heart sweater or some adorable heart tights. It’s an easy way to make the date special without going completely out of your way. You can also go super cliche. Valentine’s Day is way more fun when you give into the chocolates, candy hearts, flowers and stuffed animals. It’s meant to be fun!

In the end: Don’t let the pressure of a simple date get to you. Just relax and let the good times flow.
