Real girls spill on the craziest thing they've done for love

Valentine’s Day is this weekend—do you have your grand gesture planned? JK, we know not everyone is all about the lurvvvve this time of year. But a lot of times, V-Day can bring out the cutest (and craziest!) in romantics all over the world. Ahead, five girls spill on the craziest thing they've ever done in the name of L-O-V-E.

“The guy I liked was into some super hard-core rock and I’m way more into Top 40. One time, we were talking about his favorite band, and I fibbed and said I totally loved them...so when he asked me out to see them in concert, I obviously couldn't say no! There was no turning back after that, so I had to learn the music for the concert—if I loved them, I would know all the words, right?!  I spent the week before the concert memorizing every song the band had put out so he would believe me. I have to say, I definitely rocked it!” —Aubrey, 19

“I know it’s old-fashioned, but I really love writing letters and notes to all of my family and friends. When I found out that my boyfriend and I were going to be separated for the entire summer because he was going his family’s summer home, I decided to write him a letter every day. I spent a lot of baby-sitting money on stamps and stationery that year, but it was really worth it.” —Faith, 16

“Me and the guy I was into were hanging out with all our friends, and someone suggested we have a contest to see who could down the most hot sauce. I thought it would be super impressive if I won, so I grabbed the bottle and chugged. Needless to say, having to order about 100 glasses of milk to kill the pain and having tears run down my face for the next hour wasn’t actually that impressive—or attractive! "—Carly, 17

"I was obsessed with this guy named Graham when I was in middle school, and I IMed and said "I used to have a crush on you." I obviously hoped he would say he wished I still did, but he just said "Okay," then blocked me on Facebook. Fail." — Bethany, 14

"I really wanted an excuse to hang out with my crush, so when it came time for the talent show, I decided I was going to write a play and cast him as my romantic lead. It didn't really go anywhere, but it was awesome while we were rehearsing." —Anne, 15
