Let it go! Why you should stop begging him to come back

I met this guy two summers ago. After the summer, we e-mailed and kept in touch, but we always argued and then I would be the one to beg him to come back. Last summer, we became very close. But when he broke up with me, I called him names. I haven’t talked to him in eight months, but I miss him. He is on Facebook. Should I try to add him as a friend and see if he accepts? Or should I not, since I’m always the one begging him to come back?

Dear Heartbroken and Stuck,

Good news: There are billions of other boys on the planet. Rather than be the one “begging him to come back,” let him go and get to know the guys near you. There are more relationships in your future, especially if you stop the begging and name-calling. Your ex is a thorn in your side. Remove it and move on.
