Read "Childhood Games," an original poem by a GL reader

Hide and seek is just for kids, and
adults hide the pain and fear. They
run from the darkness of
another broken day filled with it.

Adults hide the pain and fear. They
remember when they wake.
Another broken day filled with
nothing but learning to keep a distance.

Remember. When they wake,
they hide away from a past that means
nothing. But learning to keep a distance
doesn't save a soul.

They hide away from a past. That means,
hide and seek isn't just for kids and
doesn't save a soul.
Run from the darkness.
