Your ultimate guide to the spring Everything Shower
You know what they say: April showers bring...Everything Showers! We're kinda obsessed with switching up our rinse 'n' repeat routine based on the seasons—which is exactly why we designed this spring soak for you to unwind after those days basking in the sun...
Step 1: Set the scene
Towels, $28, Jacquotha | Diffuser, $30, Threshold | Bergamot Essential Oil, $16, Grove Co.
Essential oils? Check. (Go for bright + citrusy scents like lemon and bergamot for fresh, spring vibes.) Everything Shower playlist? Check. (Peep ours on Spotify!) A plush bath towel? Check. Now you're ready to step in.
Step 2: Lather your locks
Shampoo and Conditioner, $17, Maui Moisture | Scalp Scrub, $19, NatureLab.Tokyo | Scalp Massager, $12, Sephora Collection | Hair Mask, $15, Kristin Ess
There is nothing more important than a good hair care routine—especially during the warmer months, when all that sun, sweat and sand can wreak some serious havoc on your strands. Start with a scalp scrub to remove buildup and get a squeaky clean base. Once you've cleansed and conditioned, reach for a hydrating hair mask to provide an extra boost of moisture and shine.
Step 3: Wash your bod
Body wash, $26, Sol de Janeiro | Loofah, $3, Kylie Cosmetics
OK, time to get squeaky clean. Lather up your loofah with a luxurious shower gel. Then, ya know, rinse and repeat for good measure.
Step 4: Exfoliate + shave
Body scrub, $10, Tree Hut | Razor, $15, Rifle Paper Co. + Venus | Shave oil, $13, Tree Hut
It's not an Everything Shower without a full exfoliating + shaving sesh. A gentle scrub will rid your bod of dead skin cells (aka the perf pre-shave step) and reveal a more vibrant complexion. (Psst: This Tree Hut shea sugar scrub is infused with calendula and chamomile to leave skin soft and smelling amazing.)
To avoid cuts and knicks while you shave, use a razor with multiple blades—and Never! Shave! Dry! In fact, let us introduce you to our new BFF: a shave oil (this Tree Hut formula will give you your closest shave ever, trust).
Step 5: Moisturize
Body cream, $21, Coco & Eve | Face mask, $4, Diane von Furstenberg for Target | Perfume oil, $15, Being Frenshe
Your spa sesh doesn't stop when the water turns off. Moisturize with a heavy-duty body butter (pay special attention to dry areas like your elbows, knees and heels), then finish with a face mask and a dash of your fave perfume. Feeling more relaxed now? We thought so.
