Spring is the szn of new beginnings—and that totally extends to your hobbies (because, ya know, scrolling TikTok for six hours straight every Saturday isn't exactly a good pasttime). Presenting five creative 'n' cute ideas for you to dive into as the weather warms up...

1. Gardening

Gardening is a guaranteed excuse to get outdoors and learn more about nature. (And who doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous blooms every a.m.?) Consider starting a vegetable garden in your backyard or a cut flower raised bed. Not only will this hobby keep you busy, but it will make your space sooo much more beautiful! 

2. Longboarding

Craving some adventure? Learn to longboard! A longboard is essentially a long skateboard that is a little easier to balance on—perfect for rolling through your neighborhood. While it will take some practice to get the hang of at first, you can be skating with ease in no time. Make sure to practice on a flat road and always, always, always wear a helmet.

3. Crocheting

This is for all our craft fanatics! Crocheting is a super chill and easy-to-learn hobby that can keep you entertained for hours on end. Another great thing about crocheting is you can bring it literally anywhere. Road trips, back porches and free periods are all fair game. After some practice, you can create one-of-a-kind pieces you can actually wear.

4. Reading

Ahhh, a classic hobby that will never get old: reading a good book. Reading is the perfect way to get off your phone and immerse yourself in a new world. There are so many different genres to choose from, so if you're not sure what you like, you can always rely on us for some A+ recs (you're welcome!) or head to the library to check out new releases. 

5. Scrapbooking

This is an adorable way to capture all of your favorite BFF mems in a keepsake that you can cherish forever. Gather all of your Polaroid photos, movie tickets and takeout receipts—these will all be perf for a heartfelt scrapbook. Now all you'll need are some gluesticks and glitter, and you'll be one step closer to embracing your inner creativity.
